‘닿음으로(Through Touch)’ 전시에서(2024)
이 작업들은 ‘나라는 존재를 어떻게 이해하고 싶은지’에 대한 질문들을,
생각과 감각 사이, 물질과 마음 사이에서 떠오른 순간들로 포착해 놓은 장면들입니다.
머리로만 이해하던 나의 의미를 촉감, 질감, 온도, 향의 언어로 옮겨 두었고,
저와 여러분의 감각 속에서 이 의미들이 다시 다른 얼굴로 태어나는 순간을 마주하게 됩니다.
「의미의 흐름」은 생각과 감각이 오가는 사이에서 의미가 어떻게 생겨나는지를 다루는 작업입니다.
한 번의 감정, 한 순간의 생각처럼 끊어진 경험이 아니라, 그 조각들이 서로 이어지고 섞이면서 나만의 이야기가 만들어지는 과정을 담고 있습니다.
이 작품에서 말하는 아름다움은 단순히 “예쁘다”는 감탄이 아니라,
내가 겪어온 기억·감정·사고들이 차곡차곡 겹쳐져서 생겨나는 지속적인 의미로서의 아름다움입니다.
관람자는 조형을 보면서 “내 안에서 감각과 생각이 어떻게 서로 영향을 주고, 어떤 흐름을 만들고 있는지”
잠시 떠올려보며, 자신의 삶 속에서도 계속 이어지는 의미의 흐름을 느껴보길 바랍니다.
