작품 소개
‘짓밟다’ 라는 의미의 Trample (trampling)과
‘발로 밟으며 뛰면서 즐기는 놀이기구’ 의 대표이름인 Trampoline 은 언뜻 들으면 발음이 비슷합니다.
관계나 상황에 짓밟히듯 힘들었던 경험들이 그 당시엔 너무나 괴로웠지만,이내 다시 내가 그 경험들을 짓밟고 올라가 당당하게 더 높은
스테이지로 튀어올라 새로운 나를 맞이하는 힘을 admire 하며 작업했습니다.
새빨간 장미가 마르기 시작하면 만들어내는 버건디 색감을 메인으로, 그리고 중간에는 직접 손으로 짓누르고 갈고 찢었던 마른 장미꽃잎들
을 붙여보았습니다. 슬픔과 어두움이 결국엔 나를 일으켜 세우는 에너지를 만들어내는 원동력이 되었으면 합니다.
The Korean text I choose is Trample. It’s similar to between those two words "Trample" and "Trampoline" in terms of pronunciation.
It has deeper meaning of idea of mine by overcoming difficult experiences and source of strength to rise to new energy level that gives you a new way.
This artwork seems to reflect this concept by incorporating colors and textures inspired by the transition from vibrant red roses to the dark burgundy hues that emerge. The text concludes with the hope that sadness and darkness can ultimately become the driving force that helps the artist itself and audiences to stand up and move forward with renewed bright energy.
